The Factions of Transformers

The Autobots

Led
by Optimus Prime the Autobots stand for justice and freedom. They
oppose the Decepticons in everyway. Defenders of the weak and Cybertron
the Autobots seek to return the Allspark to restore Cybertron to what
it once was, or destroy it so the Decepticons can not corrupt it's
power.

For Five million years, the Cybertronians warred over
the remaining energy that was left. With this crisis, the Autobots,
headed by Optimus Prime, made an expedition to find new energy sources.
With the Decepticons in persuit Megatron their leader had another
secret goal "to find the Allspark". When Optimus and the Autobots
learned of Megatron's ambitions they set out to reach the Allspark
before Megatron and his band of destruction loving Decepticons found it
first. If the Allspark fell into the wrong hands the universe would be
in great peril. Long ago when cybertron was young and the Autobots and
Decepticons were one race the Allspark gave them creation to the forms
they retain even now.

History :
Not much is known of the Allspark's purpose but it was hidden with all
knowledge of it's location lost. Rumors grew through the centuries of
it's location but expeditions failed to recover the relic. In this time
some among the cybertronians thought that a warrior class should rule
Cybertron and seek out other planets to colonize. Stating that it was
their purpose due to their design. They named themselves the
Decepticons and when the other Cybertronians refused war engulfed the
planet. The Autobot's led by Optimus prime fought the Decepticons for
control of Cybertron. After five million years of war the planet's
energy resources became critically depleted.

The Decepticons:

The
Decepticons are widely known as the mortal enemy of the Autobots.
Locked in a war that spans millions of years. Created by the
Quintessons a mysterious race which not much is known of. The
Decepticons seek above all else power and victory. After five million
years of war, Cybertron was nearly depleted of all its energy until the
Decepticons received word that the Autobots were planning to search for
new energy resources and the rumor of the "Allspark or Matrix".
Following the Autobot ship Ark in the ship Nemesis, the Decepticon
engaged the Autobots in their ship. Unfortunately, they drifted too
close to Earth and crashed landed. The war like Decepticons hold the
edge in firepower but they seem to suffer from poor or divided
leadership.

Most memorable amongst the Decepticons is the fact
that, because of their various personalities, there is constant
conflict amongst each other, and as a result usually leads to the
failure of a mission or physical confrontations amongst each other
which causes the failure of a mission. A good example of this is
Starscream's constant conflict with Megatron over leadership skills and
how things should be done. Unlike the Autobots, the Decepticons have
many sub-groups that could be seen as special forces units.

With
the arrival of the Autobots to Earth the Decepticons have declared all
out war upon them once again. The Decepticons on earth have decided to
take the disguise of many human war vehicles and others that suit their
cause. They have established a secret base where they gather Intel and
regroup after seeking out the Allspark and Autobots.

The Humans:

The humans are divided into two groups.

Humans
that Aid the Autobots: Many humans including the US govenment reconize
that the Autobots have come to help humanity. These humans work with
the Autobots and play a major role.

Sector 7: The top secret
human organization that is run by a ruthless corporation investing in
oil and other products. They discovered the transformers and their
power. So far they have successfully converted the transformer
Technology in some ways. Producing primitive Transformers that convert
from vehicle mode to a robotic mode. The transformation is manual and
the result is far from perfected. These Transformers are called
"Blanks" of they do not have sparks and are not independent they are
operated by human's inside the vehicle. The agency desperately wants to
capture the transformers for research or to erase their minds and
reboot them as their slaves. Also their goal is to further their
research and mass produce.

Independent Characters:

Independent
Characters do not have an affiliation. They may choose to become part
of a faction or start their own. These characters are freelance and
will not have missions given to them.
